Attend a Meat Lab Sale
Don’t go to the local supermarket to get your chicken or steak for dinner; head to our very own meat lab. The UC Davis meat lab is a federally inspected meat processing plant located on the UC Davis campus in the Harold Cole Facility for the Study of Biology of Large Animals. Students gain hands-on experience and learn meat processing, and the rest of the campus has the opportunity to buy locally. It’s open Thursday and Friday. If you’re a vegetarian, they sell cheese too.
