Alumni Awards
UC Davis alumni do amazing things: they take leaps in scientific innovation and discovery, they give their time and resources to UC Davis and their communities, they push innovation to create the next big thing. We are honored to recognize these achievements at our Cal Aggie Alumni Awards Gala each year.
Picnic Day
For more than 100 years, UC Davis’ annual open house, Picnic Day, has displayed the incredible achievements by students, faculty, and Aggie community members. Visitors come to see animals, inventions, performances, and a parade. The Cal Aggie Alumni Association is a proud sponsor and hosts a number of events, including an alumni zone, student performances and giveaways.
Golden Society Reunion Weekend
Golden Graduates (alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago) are invited back to campus on Picnic Day weekend. Golden Society members receive special VIP perks on Picnic Day weekend, such as reserved seating at select Picnic Day events.
Aggie Student Send-Off Events
Student Send-Off events throughout California and on campus welcome new UC Davis students and their families to our community. UC Davis alumni, parent ambassadors and students also attend to act as a resource for new students and their families. Our goal is to share the UC Davis experience with our fellow Aggie community.
Move-In Weekend
Sending your student off to college can be an exciting, emotional and stressful time for many families. That is why Aggie Parent and Family Association is on-site to help new parents navigate the transition into college. Stop by our booth to write your student a special note to be delivered the first week of school. Pick up a community map, and let us answer your questions.
Homecoming Pep Rally
The Cal Aggie Alumni Association in conjunction with the Student Alumni Association organizes the event and hosts many events during Homecoming Weekend.
Student Alumni Association Events
One of the most popular Student Alumni Association(SAA) programs is the Alumni-Student Aggie Dinner, which allows students to connect with other UC Davis alumni in career fields they may have interest in. SAA also participates in community service events each year, such as Together We Can which is a canned food drive that helps support ASUCD's Pantry program, as well as traditions like Bowling Night and Pajamarino.
Parent and Family Weekend
Parent and Family Weekend is a chance for alumni to rediscover UC Davis and for parents to get a glimpse at their child’s college experience. Families spend time together at a host of scheduled events and enjoy the hospitality of the Aggie community.
