Megan Annis holds an MBA with an emphasis in Marketing (2011) from the University of California, Davis, where she also received her bachelor's degree in Managerial Economics with a minor in Spanish (2004).

She began her career working for a boutique marketing firm managing marketing campaigns for a wide variety of clients ranging from PreK-12 schools and local farmers' markets to politicians and restaurants. She has also worked on the in-house side, leading strategic marketing and communications in healthcare, civil engineering and construction, PreK-12 education, and nonprofits. It was always Megan's dream to start her own full-service marketing agency catering to small businesses and nonprofits, and she launched Starflower Creative in 2024.

In her spare time, Megan loves spending time with her husband, two sons, and their Golden Retriever. You can find them out and about biking, hiking, camping, and enjoying the outdoors. She enjoys photography, creating mixed media artwork, and teaching kids about the environment at her sons' school. Megan also serves as the Communications Director on the Board of Directors for Friends of Folsom Parkways, a nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to preserving open land, parks, and trails throughout the City of Folsom.
