Partner with Alumni and Affiliate Relations
Event Promotion
Alumni and Affiliate Relations (AAR) can help your department promote alumni-facing events on the AAR website and/or social media platforms. Please email your marketing requests, along with its associated event marketing assets and copy (200 words maximum) to alumni@ucdavis.edu. All requests must be made at least 14 business days prior to the event start date. All requests are subject to approval.
Volunteer Support
Seeking volunteers for one of your department’s upcoming events, programs or marketing campaigns? AAR is connected to a pool of alumni and parent volunteers eager to give back to the UC Davis community and can support your volunteer recruitment efforts by providing volunteer recommendations/leads. Please email volunteer recommendation requests, including specific volunteer criteria, if any, at least one month in advance to alumni@ucdavis.edu. All requests are subject to approval.
Should you successfully secure a volunteer with the support of AAR, please report back with photos and a story or info about the experience. This information helps AAR track and promote alumni volunteer engagement efforts.

Diversity Digest
The Affinity Network Diversity Digest is an intersectional newsletter showcasing student scholarships, network leaders, volunteer opportunities, alumni activities, and campus initiatives around diversity, equity, and belonging. This newsletter highlights the activities of the special interest and affinity networks along with the work across all alumni in emulating the UC Davis Principles of Community. The newsletter is produced up to four times a year. Content submissions should not exceed 500 words.
Network Leader Newsletter
The Network Leader Newsletter goes out to our volunteer network leaders at the Cal Aggie Alumni Association. The newsletter is a monthly publication that goes out on the first Friday of each month. Content for the newsletter should not exceed 250 words and is due two weeks prior to the first Friday of the following month.
Alumni Council
The UC Davis Alumni Council is a group of campus alumni relations professionals who meet quarterly to share activities; collaborate with each other; and share ideas, resources, best practices and opportunities to engage Aggies, no matter which department, college, or school they hail from!
Additionally, alumni constituency groups fall under the “umbrella” of the Cal Aggie Alumni Association, so we work together and share our calendars, email calendars, and provide annual updates.
If you are working with UC Davis alumni and would like to be a part of the Alumni Council, please send an email to Pauline Metzgar, Associate Executive Director & Chief Programs Officer (pmetzgar@ucdavis.edu).
