Aggie Day at the Monterey Bay Aquarium

Attention Aggies in the Central Coast! The newly formed Central Coast Alumni Network invites you to the network's inaugural event: a day at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Come see what makes the aquarium so special, as a leader in science education and a global voice for ocean conservation. As a special treat, UC Davis alum James Covel '76 and Christine Revelas will lead informal tours of the aquarium to give an insider look at the goings-on at the aquarium. 

The tours will meet under the gray whale skeleton by the sea otter exhibit at 10am, as soon as the aquarium opens, with the tours starting at 10:30am. You’re welcome either to participate in the tour or just say “Hi” to the group and get a UC Davis sticker before exploring the aquarium on your own. The tours will be focused on adult topics, but younger children are welcome to attend. Please make sure to register (including kids), as space is limited for the tours. 

If you're unable to join in a tour, you can also meet with your fellow alumni outside at the Great Tide Pool at 1:30pm.

• Time: Monterey Bay Aquarium is open 10am-6pm
  • The tours with James Covel and Christine Revelas will begin promptly at 10:30am. Meet the tours under the gray whale skeleton by the sea otter exhibit at 10am.
  • The informal alumni gathering will begin at 1:30pm at the Great Tide Pool

  • Monterey Bay Aquarium Ticket: You will need to purchase a ticket to the aquarium (it is recommended to purchase your ticket in advance).

  • Tours & Alumni Gathering: The tours and alumni gathering are free.
