The Cal Aggie Alumni Association (CAAA) invites the UC Davis Undergraduate Class of 1976 (and previous classes) to the Golden Society 50th Anniversary Ceremony on April 17, 2026, 3:00-5:00pm at the Walter A. Buehler Alumni Center.
Come out to Davis the day before Picnic Day to reminisce with your peers and swap memories while enjoying a glass of wine or beer and hors d'oeuvres. Participate in the pinning ceremony to be officially inducted into the Golden Society and receive a campus update from campus leaders. There's no better way to enjoy campus, comparing what's changed and what has stayed the same, before the crowds descend the next day for Picnic Day.
All members of the UC Davis Undergraduate Class of 1976, those who graduated in previous years, and guests are welcome to attend! Registration closes Friday, April 10, at 12:00pm.
We're looking forward to seeing you and catching up fifty years later!

Arriving early? Take a tour of campus with Unitrans
The Cal Aggie Alumni Association invites attendees of the Golden Society Reunion to participate in a tour of campus from the comfort of a Unitrans bus! Take a ride down memory lane, as the bus takes you through campus to see all the changes campus has undergone over the years. There's no better way to reorient yourself before coming back to campus on Saturday for Picnic Day! The tour is only open to Golden Society attendees. Space is limited so make sure you register today!

Coltrane 100: Both Directions at Once: 2026 marks the centennial of saxophonist John Coltrane’s birth. Coltrane 100: Both Directions at Once offers audiences a special chance to revel in this historic moment. Saxophonists Joe Lovano and Melissa Aldana, pianist Ndudzo Makhathini, bassist Matthew Garrison, and drummer Jeff “Tain” Watt unite as the Coltrane 100 band to honor one of the most influential artists of our generation. Coltrane described his musical vision as “starting a sentence in the middle and then going to the beginning and the end… both directions at once.” The ensemble looks “both directions at once” with reimagined classics, plus originals inspired by his legacy.

Saturday, April 18, 2026: Picnic Day!
Make sure to come back to campus the day after the Golden Society Reunion to explore campus amid the activities of Picnic Day!
Start the day by watching the Picnic Day parade, or better yet join CAAA in the parade (march or ride the tram)! After the parade, head to the Walter Buehler Alumni Center to enjoy our Family Fun Zone. For CAAA members, CAAA is also hosting a VIP Member Lounge. Enjoy free food and refreshments, relax in a welcoming space, and reconnect with fellow Aggies while celebrating UC Davis traditions.

Attacca Quartet: Founded by students at the famed Juilliard School during the early 2000s, this Grammy winning quartet is acclaimed for its versatility. Their catalog includes works that celebrate the music of the Renaissance period as well as collaborations with modern-day stars. The quartet’s Mondavi Center program includes the contemplative Nocturnes of both Poulenc and Chopin, one of Bartók’s greatest masterpieces, “The Dream” from Haydn, “Father of the String Quartet,” and an exploration of innocence during the Vietnam War by David Lang.
When: Sunday, April 19, with two showings: 2:00pm and 7:30pm
