Join fellow Aggies and friends for a morning hike to the Marin Headlands in Sausalito. 

This hike overlooks an unbeatable coastal view above Marin Headland’s beach. 

Saturday April 6
Arrive by 9:15 a.m. (hike will begin at 9:30 a.m.)
Trail: Coastal Trail and Hill 88 Loop
Level: Moderate
Hiking Time: 3 hours
Total Distance: 5.5 miles round-trip
Elevation Change: 1,000 feet

After the hike, there will be an option to visit the neighboring Point Bonita Lighthouse (see brochure attached or website). Point Bonita Lighthouse is reached by a half mile trail that is very steep in parts. The tunnel halfway to the lighthouse is open only during visiting hours: Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.

Directions:
From San Francisco, cross the Golden Gate Bridge on U.S. 101 and take the first exit north of the bridge, Alexander Avenue. Turn left and loop back under the freeway, then turn right on Conzelman Road. (Coming southbound on U.S. 101, take the last Sausalito exit just before the Golden Gate Bridge.) Drive one mile on Conzelman Road, then turn right on McCullough Road and drive 0.9 mile. Turn left on Bunker Road and drive 2.4 miles to the end of the road at Rodeo Beach. Park at the parking lot.

Notes:
What to bring: It gets cold sometimes in the morning there, so bring a jacket.  As usual, please bring shoes with good grip (some sections of the path have gravel which can be a little slippery), water, snacks and sun protection.
Fees: There is no parking or entrance fee. 
Dogs: Leashed dogs are allowed
