Inaugural Cal Aggie Alumni Association Spring Training Getaway

Pack your bags, Aggies! We're headed to Arizona to show our Aggie Pride and watch some baseball!

This spring, don't miss your chance to join the fun in sunny Scottsdale, Arizona, for the first ever Cal Aggie Alumni Association Spring Training Getaway! Aggies from all over the United States are invited to converge for a weekend of excitement alongside some of the best and brightest minds in the world, their fellow Aggie alumni. 

Weekend Overview: 

This Aggie getaway is a weekend full of schedule options and activities to surround Scottsdale with Aggie Pride, while also giving you time to set your own schedule and customize your vacation the way you see fit. You can opt in or out to each activity listed below by purchasing tickets or paying registration fees using the links below.

Activities and Information

Thursday, March 14th - San Francisco Giants at Arizona Diamondbacks Baseball Game at Salt River Fields 

• Join your fellow Aggies for our first Spring Training game of the trip.
• Tickets are available for $50.
• First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 PM.
• Your ticket purchase lands you in a seat in a view reserve section seat next to your fellow Aggies.
• Specific instructions on ticket delivery and/or pickup will be available soon. 
• Note: Tickets are subject to availability and will sell out, don't delay! 

Friday Early-MORNING, March 15th- Camelback Mountain Hike

• Join Assistant Vice Chancellor and Cal Aggie Alumni Association Executive Director Rich Engel '91 for a sunrise hike of famed Camelback Mountain along the Cholla Trail.
• Hikers will begin their ascent under the cover of darkness, and reach the summit in time to watch the sun rise over Scottsdale, Phoenix and the surrounding areas.

• Specifics will be sent out no later than 7 days before the hike.

Friday Mid-MORNING, March 15th - Golf Outing at Papago Golf Club

• For $140 per golfer, join your fellow Aggies on the links at one of Scottsdale's premier golfing destinations. 
• Group tee times are arranged, starting at 10:30 AM.
• Tee time assignments will be shared 7 days before the outing.

Friday EVENING, March 15th - Happy Hour Meet Up for Host Hotel Guests

• Join your fellow travelling Aggies at the Embassy Suites for complimentary happy hour and appetizers from 5:30-7:30 PM on Friday.
• Note: You must be an Embassy Suites guest to attend this happy hour.

Saturday, March 16th- San Francisco Giants vs San Diego Padres Baseball Game at Scottsdale Stadium

• Join your fellow Aggies for our last Spring Training game of the trip.
• Tickets are available for $50.
• First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 PM.
• Your ticket purchase lands you in Bleacher Section B next to your fellow Aggies.
• Tickets will be delivered via email to the email address associated with the person who purchases the tickets within two weeks of your confirmed registration.  For instructions on how to claim tickets that are emailed to you, please explore the "How to access tickets that have been sent to you" section on this LINK.
• Note: Tickets are subject to availability and will sell out, don't delay! 

Ground Transportation

• The Cal Aggie Alumni Association will not be able to arrange transportation to/from all Spring training activities.
• You will be required to provide your own transportation throughout the duration of the trip.
• It is recommended that you rent a vehicle, or utilize cab services and ride sharing platforms to transport you to/from the airport, to/from games and to/from activities.
