Join renowned public health scientist Dr. Rachel Whitmer for an engaging look at the science of lifelong brain health and learn practical, evidence-based strategies to prevent or delay dementia. Dr. Whitmer shares her expertise on genetic risk factors, lifestyle interventions, and the latest research on cognitive resilience, all aimed at protecting brain health throughout our lives and reducing risk for Alzheimer’s and dementia.

As Co-Director of the UC Davis Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, Dr. Whitmer has pioneered work to bring population science and epidemiology to Alzheimer’s research. Whitmer was the first to identify the contribution of early life cardiometabolic and behavioral factors on risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, and is one of the leaders of the US POINTER study, a landmark lifestyle intervention trial.
