About Winery: Orr Wines comes from Erica’s commitment to creating the finest wines she can. After working for some of the best wineries in the world, she started consulting for several wineries who quickly saw great success, with two Spectator Top 100 wines. She took this success as a sign to start Orr Wines, where she creates classic style wines for the modern table.

Aggie Connection: At a bar in San Francisco in 1998, Erica Orr met winemaker (and Davis alum) Aaron Pott who convinced her that winemaking was the coolest job in the world. She took a vacation from her lab tech job at UCSF to work a harvest with Cathy Corison (also a Davis alum) while applying to the master’s program at Davis. Erica honed her craft working at some of the best wineries in the world: Rudd Estate, Cain Vineyard, Domaine Dujac and Yering Station, and in 2013, Erica decided the time had come to launch her own brand, Orr Wines.
