Aggie Merch Draw

How to Participate:

NONMEMBERS: (1) follow our SAA Instagram (@ucdavis_saa), (2) like the designated Aggie Merch Draw post, and (3) tag a friend in the comments of the designated Aggie Merch Draw post. A nonmember counts as one entry.

MEMBERS: (1) Comment "member" on the designated Aggie Merch Draw post. Members automatically receive 2x entries and are also eligible for exclusive Members-Only Draws. Note: Membership must be active before the merch post to qualify for bonus entries.

RULES AND TERMS: 

To ensure transparency and compliance, please review the following official rules for the Aggie Merch Draw:

• Participants must be registered or active UC Davis students, alumni of UC Davis, or members of one of our associations (SAA, APFA, or CAAA) before the Aggie merch draw post.
• An active social media account is required, as winners will be contacted via direct message on SAA's Instagram account.
• Participants (nonmember or member) must follow participation guidelines.

Failure to comply with the entry requirements, rules, or verification of eligibility may result in disqualification, and the merch will be forfeited.

TIMING:

• Aggie Merch Draw: Held monthly or during membership campaign windows.
• Exclusive Members-only Draw: No set schedule—follow the SAA Instagram and turn on notifications to stay updated.

WINNERS SELECTION:

• Two (2) winners will be randomly selected each month from all eligible entries (both members and nonmembers). Winners will be announced on SAA's social media. They will also be notified via a direct message on Instagram and tagged in our story. 
• Members with bonus entries will have their names included twice in the drawing, increasing their chances but not guaranteeing a win.
• Winners will receive instructions via direct message on how to pick up their merch. Confirmation of identity is required to claim the merch, and only official winners may pick it up. If a winner does not respond within seven days, an alternate eligible entry will be selected.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY: No purchase is necessary to enter the Aggie Merch Draw. Becoming a member of the Cal Aggie Alumni Association is not required to participate, and membership status does not influence the chances of nonmembers to enter the general draw. However, members will receive bonus entries as part of their membership perks.

MERCH PRIZE:  Two (2) participants (members or nonmembers) will receive limited-edition merch designed by fellow Aggies. Members receive bonus perks, including access to special Members-Only Draws. Merch are valued at no more than $100.00, and the type of merch will vary from month to month.

ELIGIBILITY: The merch draw is open to all registered and active UC Davis students, alumni, and members. Members of the Cal Aggie Alumni Association qualify for bonus entries as part of their membership benefits. Employees of UC Davis Alumni and Affiliate Relations, as well as any companies associated with the merch draw (collectively, the "Promotion Entities"), and their immediate family members or anyone living in the same household, are not eligible to participate. Eligibility rules are subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

SOCIAL MEDIA ENGAGEMENT: All engagement on social media (tags and comments) becomes the property of UC Davis. By participating, you agree that UC Davis may use your social media account name and post content for marketing and advertising purposes, including winner announcements.

ODDS OF WINNING: The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received, including bonus entries from members. For example, if there are 100 nonmember entries and 50 member entries (with members receiving 2x entries), the odds would be 150:2 in favor of the total participant pool. Inquiries about the number of entrants and odds may be directed to Divine Joyce Otico. This information will remain available as long as the Aggie merch draw is active.

MEMBERS-ONLY DRAWS: As an added perk, current members of the Cal Aggie Alumni Association will be eligible for exclusive Members-Only Draws. No additional purchase is necessary to enter. Members must follow the same rules and terms to participate. Membership status will be confirmed.

DISCLAIMER: UC Davis may cancel the merch draw in the event of technical problems or electronic attacks affecting the administration of the offer. Any comment/engagement entrant found to intentionally interfere with the operation of the offer will be disqualified. UC Davis reserves the right to disqualify any participant who does not comply with these official rules or who is suspected of tampering with the entry process. UC Davis retains the right to delete comments if found in violation of UC Davis policies, or for any other reason at UC Davis’ sole discretion. UC Davis is not responsible for lost, damaged, delayed, or misdirected merch. UC Davis is not responsible for lost or misdirected comment entries. Merchandise may not be redeemed for cash. Merchandise cannot be transferred or substituted, and no cash alternative is offered.

PRIVACY: By participating in this merch draw, you are providing your information to UC Davis. You acknowledge that this merch draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram. By participating, you agree to release UC Davis, Cal Aggie Alumni Association, and Instagram from any liability related to the merch draw for your participation in the merch draw. Any personal information collected during the merch draw will be used solely for contacting winners and will not be shared with third parties. Participants agree to have their names and likenesses shared on Instagram if they are selected as winners. Information provided will not be sold, or used in any way other than specifically set for in these rules.

VOID WHERE PROHIBITED: The Aggie Merch Draw is void where prohibited by law.
