Why Mentor?
Your experience can make a lasting impact. As a SAM Program mentor, you’ll:
- Help students build their professional network
- Share career advice and personal insights
- Support goal-setting and planning for life at UC Davis and beyond
Program at a Glance
- Quarter-long commitment: January–March 2026
- Flexible time investment: Mentors are only required to meet three times over the quarter (approximately three hours total), scheduled at your convenience
- Virtual or in-person options: Meet in the way that works best for you—by phone, video, or face-to-face
- Global participation: UC Davis alumni from all over the world are welcome to apply
We encourage mentor-mentee pairs to stay in touch regularly, but how often and how you connect is entirely up to you and your student mentee.
