Homecoming, Golden Society, Parent and Family Weekend and Alumni Events
Aggie Spirit Week is a celebration of Homecoming, the Golden Society, Parent & Family Weekend and campus-wide alumni events from Monday, October 10, 2022 through Sunday, October 16, 2022. The week long programming of virtual and in-person events integrates campus partners to give alumni, parents, families, students and community members programming to bring them back to campus and a homecoming for everyone.
Alumni and Affiliate Relations hosts an online registration and listing of events for visitors and participants to attend. Campus partners showcase UC Davis through virtual and in-person lectures, tours, and events that raise awareness of campus initiatives, people and programming. Virtual events will take place October 10 - 16 and in-person events will be scheduled on Friday thru Sunday.
Register your event ideas and information on the Aggie Spirit Week event form. Remember to add information early to create save-the-date information for us to include in the registration and website. Submit event information by August 20, 2022 to be included in our Save the Date release on August 27, 2022. Include final event information by September 10, 2022 (photos, descriptions) for registration release on September 15, 2022. Scroll below to see our entire timeline.
Aggie Spirit Week Event Form
Submit your event ideas and details to the Aggie Spirit Week event form. Remember to include the following information:
- event title
- host unit or program
- event location
- event description
- links to registration and where audiences can find recordings
- event graphic
- start and end times and dates
- audience
- organizer or event lead contact information
It is important to submit an initial scope of information to include in our Save the Date and preliminary calendar of activities. You can update event information using the Aggie Spirit Week Event Form by scrolling to the bottom and clicking on the update form. A box will appear where you can add in the specific changes to the event.
Marketing Collateral
Events are promoted through Alumni and Affiliate Relation's website and newsletters, and among our campus constituents and we ask that other units promote through lists and social media. Communicators can use the Aggie Spirit Week Canva Guide to create Zoom backgrounds, social media, website and marketing collateral. Remember to include Aggie Spirit Week as part of UC Davis Homecoming activities and utilize the hashtag #AggieSpiritWeek throughout social media channels.
