Ann Pitzer graduated as valedictorian of her class when she earned her bachelor of science in home economics in 1958. She went on to earn a master’s from UC Berkeley. She is a retired software developer from Science Applications International Corp., and lives in La Jolla.
Since 1994, she has been trustee of the Pitzer Family Foundation, and since 2010, served on the UC Davis Foundation board of trustees. She also serves on the Student Affairs Development Leadership Council.
She established the Class of 1958 Scholarship, an endowed fund supported through gifts from her fellow graduates and their friends; and the Ann E. Pitzer Scholarship Fund, providing support for students with financial need and demonstrated academic achievement.
