Looking for a volunteer opportunity that provides value to UC Davis and makes you feel as if you're making a difference? The One Aggie Network provides many opportunities for you to connect with students, alumni and families.
Parent volunteer opportunities are here. To learn about student volunteer opportunities, please join the Student Alumni Association to receive notifications via email. Alumni opportunities are listed below.
Become a Network Leader
Alumni looking for managerial skills can volunteer to lead a network, helping to organize alumni programming in your area.
CAAA is always looks for volunteers who are willing to read scholarship essays. In 2017, CAAA had more than 1,500 scholarship applications submitted from California, Oregon and Washington. Alumni volunteers who help read scholarship applications often find themselves inspired by the remarkable potential of UC Davis students.
Volunteer on a Committee
Any Aggie can become a network leader, a board member or serve on a committee by first being a CAAA member. The committees are involved with auditing, alumni programming, finance, scholarship, career taskforce and more.
Interview with an Aggie allows alumni to help Aggies by conducting mock interviews, assisting with resumes and giving advice about possible career paths. Similar career-related events include Aggie Dinner. Aggie Dinner connects students with alumni over dinner in a professional setting. Please email email@example.com to get involved.
Some opportunities to help students, specifically incoming students include student Send-Offs, which is a welcome event that allows space for admitted students to ask alumni, students, parents and family of current students and the alumni association staff any last minute questions about UC Davis. Alumni can open their homes for these events or organize another place to meet incoming freshman or transfers in a fun and informal way.
Even More Opportunities
There are still more ways to volunteer at UC Davis. Alumni volunteers can march in the Picnic Day parade and can attend events leading up to Picnic Day. The easiest and quickest way to volunteer and get involved is to share university related events on social media as it raises the profile of UC Davis.
