Proud to be Aggie parents: Supporting student success together

Quick Summary

  • As our daughter Saee, begins her fourth year at UC Davis, we are filled with excitement for her and her future.

As our daughter Saee, begins her fourth year at UC Davis, we are filled with excitement for her and her future. As proud Aggie parents, we are deeply thankful for the many resources that the university offers to support students’ health, safety, and success.

We also enjoy supporting UC Davis through our active involvement as advisors for the Family Fellows program. This program brings together a group of UC Davis families—parents, grandparents, and others—who are deeply committed to enhancing student success and creating exceptional collegiate experiences. Through the program, we enjoy a special connection with university leaders, faculty, and staff, while inspiring other UC Davis families through impactful philanthropic giving.

Each year, thousands of UC Davis parents just like us show their dedication by contributing to the Parents Fund. These generous donations are crucial in enriching the educational experience for all UC Davis students, supporting a wide range of innovative learning and research opportunities. Because Parents Fund contributions are unrestricted, they give the chancellor the flexibility to respond quickly to emerging opportunities and urgent student needs.

If you have any questions about the Family Fellows program or getting involved, we encourage you to reach out to Tessa Haden, Associate Director of Development, Parent Giving. You can also meet Tessa in person during Aggie Family Move-In week, September 16-18, from 5-6:30 p.m. at the UC Davis Bookstore. She will be at the Family Fellows table each evening, ready to chat, answer your questions, and share more about how you can engage with the university.

We are excited about kicking off another great year as Aggie parents, and we hope you are, too!

With appreciation,
Jaydeep and Aboli Ranade
