Summer Financial Aid
To be eligible for summer financial aid, students must meet one or more of the following requirements:
- Filed a 2022-2023 FAFSA or CA DREAM Application.
- Considered a resident by the Office of the University Registrar.
- Continuing student (active during Spring Quarter or on approved PELP) or Fall 2023 admitted Incoming Freshmen/Transfer
- Enrolled in a minimum of 6 units during the summer.
- Have not filed to graduate for Spring 2023.
- Meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
The summer financial aid a student is offered is determined by their 2022-2023 Expected Family Contribution (EFC). Eligible students may receive the following aid:
- Pell Grant
- Dream Grant (only for DREAM students)
- Campus Fee Grant
- Summer Advantage Grant
- Eligibility: Be enrolled and academically participate in 6-9.5 units in one or both sessions
- Summer University Grant
- Eligibility: Be enrolled and academically participate in 10+ units total in one or both sessions.
- Federal Direct Subsidized (need based)
- Federal Direct Unsubsidized
- Parent PLUS
- University Student (need based)
