This year, our community is coming together for a very special milestone—the 10th annual Give Day at UC Davis. For a decade, Aggies have united for this 29-hour celebration of generosity, raising vital support for UC Davis Health, our veterinary hospitals and programs across the UC Davis campus.

Students, faculty, staff and the entire Davis community are gearing up for this landmark Give Day, held during Picnic Day weekend on Friday and Saturday, April 17–18. As we celebrate 10 years of impact, we’re recognizing the incredible generosity that has strengthened the student experience, advanced groundbreaking research and expanded compassionate care throughout our community.

Give Day is powered by “challenge gifts”—generous contributions from dedicated donors who want to inspire others to give. These challenge gifts unlock additional funding once a participation or fundraising goal is met, meaning your gift of any size can make an even greater difference. It’s a powerful reminder that every Aggie counts, and every gift matters.

With challenge opportunities spanning every corner of the university, you can direct your support to the areas that matter most to you and your student. Below are just a few examples of challenges that make a direct impact on students:

Helping Students with Financial Emergencies Challenge. When donors make 20 gifts, a $5,000 challenge from Karim Poonja will be unlocked on Give Day. Supporting student emergency relief programs at UC Davis helps students facing unexpected financial hardships, such as medical emergencies, housing instability, or food insecurity.

Guardian Scholars Program Challenge. When donors make 10 gifts, a $2500 challenge from Ricardo A. Roberto '81 will be unlocked on Give Day. The Guardian Scholars Program is committed to improving the educational outcomes for students with lived experiences in foster care, child welfare, or out-of-home placement by providing services and support to meet their needs through transition, graduation, and post-graduation planning.

Aggie Parent & Family Scholarship Challenge. When donors make 15 gifts, a $2,500 challenge from the Parent and Family Council will be unlocked on Give Day. The Parent Council, a dedicated group of UC Davis parent leaders, proudly fundraises in support of the Aggie Parent and Family Scholarship. This award celebrates students who demonstrate outstanding leadership in extracurricular involvement. The scholarship prioritizes students with financial need, helping ensure that leadership and engagement at UC Davis remain accessible to all.

Check out the Give Day website to find other areas of campus you want to support. Your gift of any size—today or on Give Day—will strengthen the programs you care about at UC Davis and help us maintain our academic excellence well into the future. The Give Day site features Apple Pay, Google Pay and the flexibility to support any program you care about between now and April 18.
