In the winter quarter, your student will need to start exploring housing options for the next academic year. When exploring, there are some things to consider. Do they want to live on-campus or off-campus?

With the 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application opening on December 31st, 2023, filling out the FAFSA is at the top of many families' to-do lists. But before you sit down and fill out the application, it is important to know all of the changes occurring to the FAFSA for the 2024-25 aid year, so that you and your student know what to expect.  

The Internship and Career Center (ICC) has a number of virtual and on-demand resources available should students feel inspired to spend part of winter break focusing on their internship or job search.  

This is the third part of a series where we highlight part of the academic transition your student might be experiencing and questions you can ask your student to help support them. This month we will focus on reflecting on fall quarter to start winter quarter strong.

UC Davis undergraduate students seek hands-on research opportunities. Their desire to get involved in research now was evident when more than 1,000 students showed up for the Oct. 12 Undergraduate Research Fair.

The FAFSA Simplification Act has brought significant changes in how students will be offered financial aid. Families will see these changes in effect for the 2024-25 academic year.
